In 1976, Rogers recorded his debut album, Fogarty's Cove, launching a career that remains a vibrant and engaging audience even today, 41 years after his death. The album is entirely based around Maritime living and contains his most famous sea shanty "Barrett's Privateers," sung acapella with The Friends of Fiddler's Green providing the voices of the ship's rowdy crew. The album established the two common themes found within Stan's lifelong work: life on the sea and the endangered traditions of a specifically Canadian experience. This album includes fan favourites "Make And Break Harbour" and "Giant." The recording has remastered and is reissued by Borealis Records.
