RSD Black Friday 2020
"Black Coffee in Bed" is one of Squeeze's biggest hits and a fan favorite at their concerts to this day. For the sixth installment in the Swindles series, Bilal & Nikki Jean navigate this soulful, iconic song from 1982. As always, the release was produced and engineered by Swindles curator and Squeeze aficionado Steve Mandel. This limited edition release arrives as a 45 single, with Bilal & Nikki Jean's cover version featured on the A-side and the instrumental version on the flip side.

"Christmas Cactus"/"Red Poinsettia"
At the beginning of quarantine in April, Ed Roland was in Sarasota, Florida with a few others and they decided to start a new band and call it The Living Room. They didn’t want it to sound like Collective Soul or The Sweet Tea Project (Roland’s Americana side band) and they started talking about favorite bands to which Ed said that one of his is The Cars. So, Ed woke up and began writing songs inspired by the new wave era of The Cars, ELO, and Roxy Music.
SIDE A: 1. “She Bows Down” 2. “Just Like You” 3. “Here” 4. “Alien Attitude” 5. “Summer”
SIDE B: 6. “These Times” 7. “Living Room” 8. “Lucky Again” 9. “All For You” 10. “Welcome To Life”
The highly sought after self-titled album by Round Robin and Brimstone typically changes collector's hands for hundreds of dollars and has been on the radar of modern soul/boogie fans for some time with featured cuts on Kon and Amir's "Off Track Vol.1" and our own Groove Merchant Turns 20 compilation. Deep Funk/Soul enthusiasts also know "The Round Robin Monopoly" band which is another project by band leader Robin Lloyd.
