The 1966 album represented a milestone for The Rolling Stones as it was the first to consist solely of Jagger/Richards original songs. The U.S. version was fleshed out with hit single classics like “Paint It Black,” an eerily insistent #1 hit graced by some of the best-ever use of sitar (played by Brian Jones). Aftermath also strongly features the baroque charm of “Lady Jane.” 180-gram LP.
The Rolling Stones 1966 album Aftermath represented a milestone for the band as it was the first to consist solely of Jagger/Richards original songs. It also strongly featured the remarkably wry, observant songwriting of “Mother’s Little Helper” and the baroque charm of “Lady Jane.” The album showcases Brian Jones’ versatility as an instrumentalist. He’s heard playing bells, dulcimer, harpsichord, marimba, and sitar, as well as guitar and harmonica. 180-gram LP.
A remastered classic from the quintessential American girl group of the 1960s. Features the original European cover artwork.

“The house lights are still up, stage lights down, as musicians stroll through the shadows, taking a seat on the drum riser or dropping to the floor in a circle. There is chatting and laughter amid drinks and smokes. Then a single, white spotlight hits the leader from behind: KEITH RICHARDS of THE ROLLING STONES, now on his feet, assuming the position as he fires up the first riff of the night, the clanging-guitar call to jubilant disorder in “Take It So Hard.” From the all new essay, “The Loosest Tight Band You Ever Heard” by renowned rock writer David Fricke. Featured exclusively in the reissue of KEITH RICHARDS & THE X-PENSIVE WINOS LIVE AT THE HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM, December15, 1988 from BMG and Mindless Records. The second of four Rolling Stones albums made with producer Jimmy Miller (Traffic, Blind Faith), Let It Bleed perfectly captures the ominous spirit of the times with “Gimme Shelter,” the opening track.
The Let It Bleed (50th Anniversary Edition) single 180g LP includes the stereo version of the album, with restored original artwork and printed inner sleeve. The 2019 stereo remaster has been engineered by eleven-time Grammy®-winning mastering engineer Bob Ludwig.
