THE KINKS, Muswell Hillbillies 1971 classic album has been remastered from the original audio source for the albums 50th Anniversary and will be released on heavy weight vinyl for the 9th September via BMG. This period’s first KINKS album, Muswell Hillbillies, is for many people their best of all. It conversely looked back on Ray and Dave Davies’ London roots, telling tales of working-class families migrating from the war-torn and redevelopment-ravaged inner city to the strange, leafy suburbs of North London. Expertly recreated and retouched original artwork with gatefold sleeve. All audio has been produced by Ray Davies and mastered by Kinks expert Tony Cousins at Metropolis studios. The 1CD standalone includes x3 new Ray Davies remixes “20th Century Man,” “Acute Schizophrenia Paranoia Blues” & “Travelling With My Band.” Brand new sleeve notes with band quotes and photos.

ALL VERSIONS come in random Caterpillar Red, Chrysalis Yellow, or Butterfly Blue LP. Gatefold Jacket and unsealed in 100% recycled paper sleeve.

KGLW’s 18th studio album, Butterfly 3000, might be their most fearless leap into the unknown yet; a suite of ten songs that all began life as arpeggiated loops composed on modular synthesizers, before being fashioned into addictive, optimistic and utterly seductive dream-pop. The album sounds simultaneously like nothing they’ve done before, and thoroughly, unmistakably Gizz, down to its climactic neon psych-a-tronic flourish. This is undoubtedly their most accessible and jubilant album to date.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard return with ‘L.W.’, their seventeenth studio album and the third volume in the band’s explorations into microtonal tunings. A companion piece to its 2020 predecessor, ‘K.G.’, as well as a stand-alone work of art in its own right, L.W. displays a collision of musical worlds. After a decade of frenzied productivity and a recent inability to tour, the band was able to “reset [their] brains” and embark upon a search for “the notes between the notes”. Out via KGLW

Vinyl LP pressing including digital download. Point of Know Return is the fifth studio album by classic rock band Kansas, originally released in 1977. "Dust in the Wind" is known for it's sparse acoustic nature. The guitar line for the song was written by Kerry Livgren as a finger exercise for learning fingerpicking. His wife, Vicci, heard what he was doing, remarked that the melody was nice, and encouraged him to write lyrics for it. Livgren was unsure whether his fellow band members would like it, since it was a departure from their signature style. However he did offer it to them, and the song was accepted and then recorded. The album is critically acclaimed for singles like "Point of Know Return", which was a late addition to the album. "Portrait (He Knew)" was written about Albert Einstein.

Ace Frehley

MP3 Album: $5.99 Download

[Picture Disc] Considered the best of the four solo albums that Kiss released simultaneously in 1978, "Ace Frehley" does not stray far from Kiss's trademark heavy sound. With future David Letterman band members drummer Anton Fig and bassist Will Lee backing him up, Frehley shows that he is more than a songwriting match for bandmates Simmons and Stanley. In fact, the album yielded a Top 20 hit in "New York Groove."

Monster

Vinyl: $29.99 Buy

Vinyl LP pressing. 2012 release, the 20th album from the Hard Rock legends. The album features contributions from all four members, including co-founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer. Monster represents Kiss' nod to the music that first inspired the band to pick up their guitars and flame-throwers, and don makeup to entertain millions. The group goes back to it's own beginnings with the Who-like 'Freak,' while Gene lives up to the title track's declaration on the raucous rock of 'Back to the Stone Age' and the bludgeoning 'The Devil is Me.' 'There are no symphony orchestras, boy choirs, keyboards, outside producers or songwriters on this album,' promises Gene Simmons. 'The best thing we did was to turn inwards to ourselves. Tommy and Eric have revitalized this band, with a work ethic and the talent to back it up. This is a real band effort. Kiss has become a behemoth. We're going where no bands have gone before.'
