Vinyl LP pressing. Sleeping with the Past is the 22nd studio album by singer-songwriter Elton John, released on 29 August 1989. It is his best-selling album in Denmark (where it was recorded) and is dedicated to his longtime writing partner Bernie Taupin. The album features his first solo number-one single, "Sacrifice", in his home country of the UK, which helped the album also hit number one there, his first since 1974's Elton John's Greatest Hits. John and Taupin meant for the songs to reflect the style of 1960s R&B icons such as Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, whom they admired. It also became his first platinum album in the UK since 1983. In the US it was certified gold in October 1989 and platinum in April 1990 by the RIAA.

2012 reissue of classic 1968 vinyl LP. Janis Joplin belts it like no other on her heart-stopping final album with Big Brother and the Holding Company. Her fiery "Piece of My Heart" takes every ounce of her emotional soul laid bare, and even today her powerful voice still haunts and captivates audiences of all ages. Surprisingly, the song only peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1968. The entire album did climb straight to #1 in late summer 1968. Other classic numbers include "Ball & Chain" and "Turtle Blues." They also do a rendition of "Summertime" that was embraced by hippies but infuriated its composer George Gershwin. Sony.

After meeting with Virgin owner Richard Branson, she signed with the label. The contract was worth an estimated $40 million, making her the world's then-highest paid musical act. In the United States, Janet became the singer's third consecutive album to top the Billboard 200 and her first to debut at #1.

Formed in Los Angeles in the mid-80s, Jane's Addiction set a standard for driving, passionate and sonically crushing alternative rock before the term was even coined. They were flamboyant and provocative, with an equal interest in visual art, fashion, and 70s era guitar riffs. Singer Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, and percussionist Stephen Perkins were already commanders of a giant cult following by the time their first major-label release, Nothing's Shocking, came out in 1988. This album is now available on 180 gram vinyl.

Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Includes digital download. Ram It Down is the 11th studio album by Judas Priest, released in 1988 through Columbia Records. The album earned gold certification on 18 July 1988. The band toured in Europe and North America to support the release of the album. This is the last album to feature long-time drummer Dave Holland. In 1986, Judas Priest intended to release a double album entitled Twin Turbos, of which half would consist of melodic, more commercial hard rock, and the other half would be heavier and less synth-driven. Columbia Records objected to the double album concept, and the project was ultimately split into two separate releases, 1986's Turbo, and 1988's Ram It Down. Ram It Down would be the final Judas Priest album for 30 years recorded with producer Tom Allom. The band recorded a rendition of Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode", intended for inclusion on the soundtrack for the 1988 Anthony Michael Hall comedy film Johnny Be Good; the song found it's way onto Ram It Down and was the album's first single.

Double 180 gram vinyl LP pressing housed in a gatefold sleeve. Fasten your seatbelts for an extraordinary ride with guitar hero Eric Johnson. This is the performance that fellow guitarists, wannabes and fans have been waiting and dying for since this show first aired in 1989. And for good reason: Johnson's playing has a way of connecting to fans of every guitar style while still eliciting raves from the likes of Carlos Santana, Johnny Winter, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan and even country music legend Chet Atkins. His inspirations are the "3J's:" Jimi Hendrix, Jerry Reed, and Jeff Beck, but his style ranges wide and free throughout the entirety of guitar history while still infusing fresh ideas of his own. A long-time Austin mainstay, he took up guitar at age eleven and had his first professional group at fifteen. In 1974, he defied the musical mainstream by forming Austin's first jazz/rock fusion band, the Electromagnets, and he's been making guitar history ever since. "Guitar genius" is an easy phrase to throw around, but when it comes to blending fires and finesse, Eric Johnson has it all.
